Motorcycle Basic Rider Course
Location: WITCC Beltway Center / 3415 US-75 Business
Start Date: May 30, 2025
End Date: June 1, 2025
Friday: 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Saturday: 7:30 am – 4:30 pm
Sunday: 7:30 am – 1:30 pm
Course Description:
This course is designed for inexperienced riders and riders who would like to improve their riding skills.
The Motorcycle Safety Foundation Basic Rider Course (Update) is a learn-to-ride education and training program that consists of five hours of classroom instruction with a RiderCoach to address rider perception and risk management, and 11 hours of on-cycle, hands-on instruction. Motorcycles are provided for use during the course.
Important Information:
- Students need to have a valid drivers license or a valid motorcycle permit to be able to take the class.
- Students under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian sign a waiver prior to the start of the first Basic Rider Course class, unless other arrangements are made ahead of time.
- Participants must wear proper riding gear: a helmet manufactured to meet DOT standards, eye protection, long-sleeved shirt or jacket, sturdy trousers or jeans, full-fingered gloves, and over-the-ankle footwear. No one will be allowed to ride without this equipment.
